Jose was diagnosed with stage 4 Rhabdomyosarcoma on October 2015 at the age of 4. Currently he is a survivor and has been cancer free since July 2016. The Northwest Sarcoma Foundation was part of the support our family received during the 11 months we were relocated to Seattle. Our family is extremely grateful for the foundation and the support offered to families and research. We look forward to making our contribution by raising funds and creating awareness in our community back in Yakima....because no one fights alone.
Our captain is Jose, our cancer soldier and now survivor. He is now 5 years old and the youngest of 7 children of the Lemus family. He enjoys anything that has to do with Thomas the Tank Engine and loves spending time with family. Jose also attends programs to help with his autism. Speech, physical, and occupational therapy take up part of his day as he prepares to hopefully start school again the following school year. Our captain is our warrior, soldier, survivor, and most importantly he is our brother! #LemusSiblings
